Marcello, Gabriele, and Jimmy met in 2021 while attending the Palermo-based Arci club Tavola Tonda, where they played their first public sessions. After several musical performances in Piazza Bellini in Palermo, as guests of Palermo Anima Folk, their official debut took place in 2022 on the stage of the “Due passi nel Folk” festival in Recanati.  
The trio plays bal folk music based on traditional tunes and dances mainly from the French area: scottish, mazurka, rondeau, bourrée, cercle circassien, chapelloise, etc. They propose both original compositions and arrangements of Folk Revival classics. The name of the group is a tribute to the great French musician Marc Perrone and his 1988 CD “Velverde”.
