The term Kiepo’ is the onomatopoeic translation of a common saying in Cilento, typically used by those asking ‘Who is it?’
The group is composed of six members from diverse musical backgrounds. From the Cilentan tarantella to the expansive chants, the most spirited pizzicas, the gentle love songs, the devotion-filled tammurriatas, the ancient pastorals, polkas, mazurkas, vocal experiments, and serenades.
Dance is also an important component that allows one to fully experience the sensations of music. It’s part of Kiepo’s exploration, offering a meticulous repertoire that also includes the Cilentan tarantella: a dance with an ancient flavor still capable of describing stories through its delicate movements.
Tradition and contemporaneity: all of this is KIEPO’.”
