He developed a passion for folk culture, music and traditional dance in the late 1990s.
His curiosity for traditional instruments led him to the study of the hurdy-gurdy, focusing on music for dance.

With the groups Balbalord, Quinta Rua and Quatrad, he has been performing since 2002 on the most diverse occasions, from village festivals to national and international folk festivals, thus helping to keep the hurdy-gurdy tradition alive.

He continues his learning of the instrument by participating in courses organized by experienced musicians such as Patrick Bouffard and Maxou Heintzen, from “La Chavannée”, and Gregory Jolivet, former member of Blowzabella.

In 2013, he participated, as the only Italian player, in the concert of the “Bande de vielles” at the “Fête de la vielle” in Anost (France) with 60 other hurdy-gurdy players.
His desire to explore new paths led him to venture into other projects and repertoires: he collaborated with Vercelli’s Camerata Polifonica Viotti, accompanying vocal pieces from the Renaissance repertoire on the hurdy-gurdy, and with the composition project in Occitan language “Perlas de Veire” by Rodolfo Brun.

With Roberto Lucanero, accordionist from the Marche region, he launched in March 2017 the project “L’arte giocunda”, which presents a repertoire drawn from the Renaissance and elsewhere, arranged for hurdy-gurdy and portable organ.

Since 2018, he has also been part of the artistic collective Mistral, which is dedicated to the dissemination of the choreutic repertoire of Piedmont and Gascony.

In 2019, he participated in Andrea Capezzuoli’s “Intrecci” CD, playing in 3 titles.
