Guitarist and composer, Fabio Colussi has been familiar with music since the age of 5, initially playing waltzes on the accordion before transitioning to the guitar at the age of 9.
From the age of 15 onwards, he began writing his first songs, playing in churches and directing the parish choir.
He specialized in fingerpicking guitar technique under various masters, including the Italo-American guitarist Peppino D’Agostino.
Later on, he discovered Piedmontese traditional music and French bal folk, involving himself in arranging and transcribing pieces from the folk tradition for various groups.
Upon request from some theater companies, he composed music for several productions, including a feature film about the world of theater.
Since 2007, he has been dedicated to teaching guitar using an approach derived from the Suzuki Method, integrated with musical games, and has worked with nursery, primary, and middle schools.
Fabio is a part of Duo Pastis and collaborates with harpist Katia Zunino. He has released several CDs, including “Désamour” and “Il circo della Vita” as a solo artist, and “Anice Stellato” and “Trees Bien” with the Duo Pastis.
A new solo CD is currently in preparation and is set to be released in the summer of 2024.
