Gabriele Ferrero will hold a workshop in Vialfrè focusing on the traditional repertoire between Italy and France across the Alps. The traditional pieces will provide the cue to examine some techniques of the folk violin, elements of interpretation and improvisation.

Gabriele Ferrero is a musician, who deals with research, re-proposal, and promotion of the traditional music of the western Alpine arc, and its possible developments in the contemporary context. He has collaborated with many musicians between Italy and France, and has some fifteen albums to his credit. He is the artistic director of the biennial folk violin festival La Vioulounado.
