The Duo Vargoz, formed by the brothers Guillaume and Robin, presents the music of the French Alps and in particular from the dance and musical repertoire of the Dauphiné, closely associated with the “rigodon”

The Rigodon is a dance of the popular tradition of the Southern Alps/Dauphiné. It can be considered as a family of dances so varied are the forms and the number of dancers involved. Personal expression, improvisation, energetic relationship to the other exchanges and group dynamics are fundamental to create a “dance conversation” between two people, while generating multiple exchanges and group dynamics.

The harmonica and the violin are popular instruments that carry stories and imaginations with them. Playing timeless melodies, this duo seeks with a common energy, its own freedom of expression and complicity with the dancers.
